The alphabet is introduced in all of its different shapes, and the book draws a clear distinction between the letter alif and the hamzah — a difference many Qāʿidahs blur, and one that causes lasting pronunciation errors when it is missed. Letters that look similar but sound different are placed side by side so the child learns to identify each one accurately.
